Japanese "Asa" hemp has been used for food, clothing, and shelter in Japan since ancient times. Tokyo Kodo's ASA is a box of charcoal incense made with great care from stalks of Japanese hemp. It has a nostalgic aroma that reminds one of the faint scent of a bonfire.

The beautiful wooden box is wrapped in handmade Kozo paper, like a talisman of purity and beauty. The rising smoke of this incense will make you feel the calmness of time.

Tokyo Kodo started in 1935 as an incense shop specializing in providing incense to temples. Now, the company is succeeded by the founder's granddaughter and her French husband.
