Bamboo Chasen (Matcha Whisk) - 100 Tine

Traditional Japanese tea ceremonies utilize a handcrafted bamboo chasen (matcha whisk)  to prepare perfectly smooth matcha. Although the higher the number, the easier it is to create fine bubbles, both 80- and 100-tine whisks are suitable for beginners and daily use. 「百本立」on the package indicates that the whisk has 100 tines. 

There is only a limited number of chasen artisans left in Japan, so most of the chasens sold are made in China, even if they are labeled as "Japanese Chasen." For the connoisseurs of Matcha culture, we carry highly coveted Takayama Chasen, which are made in Japan.  But these are still high-quality and long-lasting.
