Developed through a special technique, this Kanazawa gold leaf boasts a uniquely beautiful gradient, making it a consistently popular series since the company's founding. It can be used as a serving dish for individual portions of kaiseki-style cuisine, or as a confectionery bowl for entertaining, filled with assorted sweets. KODAIHAKU (Ancient foil) is Hakuichi's original treatment of Kanazawa foil with a unique gradation. The design was developed using a particular process, and the series has remained popular since the company's establishment.

Each piece is handmade by artisans, so the luster and hue vary from bluish to reddish.
