MARGARET is a series of versatile accessories by the Japanese brand, pop up dress made using high-density silk taffeta woven in Yonezawa, Yamagata Prefecture. Also known as paper taffeta, this fabric can be shaped like paper.
Silk taffeta is woven using a method called yarn dyeing, in which the threads are dyed first and then woven, and the color changes depending on the viewing angle, giving it a beautiful luster unique to silk.
Tucked pleats are applied to 16.4 feet of fabric cut on the bias. When gathered, the tuck pleats undulate, creating a gorgeous look. It weighs only a little over two oz.
